Force Motors Ltd. is an Indian automotive company headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra. The company is a part of the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group. It was formerly known as Bajaj Tempo Ltd. and later as Telco Construction Equipment Co. Ltd.
The company manufactures a range of vehicles including vans, buses, light commercial vehicles, farm equipment and tractors. It also manufactures engines for other automotive companies in India.
As of March 2018, the company had a workforce of over 7,000 employees.
The company has a strong presence in the rural markets of India and has a wide dealer and service network. It has a market share of around 60% in the small commercial vehicle segment in India.
The company’s products are sold under the brands ‘Force One’ and ‘Trax’.
The company has a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd. for the assembly and sale of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in India.
The company is planning to expand its product range and enter new segments in the coming years. It is also working on electric vehicles and is planning to launch its first electric commercial vehicle in 2019.
