Bihar Sponge Iron Ltd. (BSIL) is an Indian company engaged in the manufacture of sponge iron, steel, and power. The company was founded in 1979 and is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. BSIL has production facilities in the states of Bihar and West Bengal. The company produces sponge iron with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per annum. BSIL also has a power generation capacity of 60 MW. The company exports its products to countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
