Dredging Corporation of India Ltd (DCI) was established in 1976, as a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence, for providing dredging services to the major ports in the country. DCI is the largest dredging company in India with a current dredging fleet of 12 vessels.
The company has a strong in-house design capability and has been involved in design and construction of several dredgers for the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Major Ports, and State Governments. DCI has also been providing consultancy services in the field of dredging and related marine construction activities, both within India and abroad.
DCI’s dredgers are deployed for capital dredging, maintenance dredging, beach nourishment, land reclamation, and other marine construction activities. The company has a strong focus on quality and safety, and all its dredgers are equipped with the latest technology and safety features.
DCI has a workforce of over 500 employees, and its dredging fleet has a combined dredging capacity of over 3 million cubic meters per year. The company’s dredgers are deployed at major ports in India, such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Tuticorin. DCI also has a strong international presence, with its dredgers being deployed in countries such as the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
