MIAMI, Aug. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL) (the “Company”) today announced that it has closed its private offering of $1,000,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 5.500% senior unsecured notes due 2026 (the “Notes”). The Notes will mature on August 31, 2026 unless earlier redeemed or repurchased.
The Notes will be issued under an Indenture, dated as of August 19, 2021, between the Company and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., as trustee, principal paying agent, transfer agent and registrar.
The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering of the Notes for general corporate purposes, including the replenishment of capital as a result of the redemption of 40% of its 11.500% Senior Secured Notes Due 2025 and the refinancing of future debt maturities.
