TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Gesher I Acquisition Corp. (the “Company”) announced today that it closed its initial public offering of 10,000,000 units at $10.00 per unit. The units were listed on the Nasdaq Global Market (“Nasdaq”) and began trading under the ticker symbol “GIACU” on October 12, 2021. Each unit consists of one ordinary share and one-half of one redeemable warrant, each whole warrant entitling the holder thereof to purchase one ordinary share at a price of $11.50 per share, subject to adjustment. Only whole warrants are exercisable and will trade. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, the ordinary shares and redeemable warrants are expected to be listed on Nasdaq under the symbols “GIAC” and “GIACW,” respectively.
The Company also entered into contingent forward purchase agreements to sell up to an additional 4,500,000 units at a price of $10.00 per forward purchase unit, in a private placement to close immediately prior to, or simultaneously with, the closing of its initial business combination.
